Summary:
The primary focus of this position is to supervise, manage and direct the assigned material inventory process while focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and accuracy of inventory. Develop and implement new or improved processes to ensure maximum accuracy and part accessibility for the assembly lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the material inventory process of the designated commodity from the
receiving docks to the warehouse area and to the assembly line.
Develop material handling and quality tracking programs for continuous improvement.
Ability to review schedule requirement spreadsheets, determine inventory needs, and initiate part replenishment.
Manage and organize area for proper inventory accuracy, incoming and outgoing material flow.
Responsible for maintaining good safety and housekeeping practices.
Direct all materials delivery functions ensuring that proper processes are followed in a
timely and accurate manner.
Establish and maintain standard work practices for material delivery.
Maintain operating procedures in support of Quality Management System.
Job Requirements :
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School education, GED oran equivalent combination of education and experience in warehousing/ inventory control environment is required. Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures for materials operations is
Preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and work well with all levels of management and hourly associatesis required.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and have a proactive approach in resolving issues that impact delivery and inventory accuracyis required.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate a fork lift.
Good leadership, organization, problem solving and decision making skills required.
General understanding of logistics, shipping, and inventory terminologyis required.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends without prior notice as needed is required.
Ability to use a computer and navigate to find part and inventory information (PRMS).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
