8K - $63K a year 18 hours ago 18 hours ago 18 hours ago The Operations Supervisor is a key role on the Pet Supplies Plus operations team offering the opportunity to launch a rewarding career in Supply Chain Operations at Pet Supplies Plus.
This position is part of the operations team and responsible for managing a team of 20 to 25 team members.
We have 2 roles we are looking to fill:
2nd Shift Replenishment - assisting with replenishment and put away processes for the second shift Shipping - assisting with unloading, loading and shipping process Operations Supervisor key responsibilities include:
Directs daily business activity and provides leadership for assigned personnel Ownership of all supply chain functions within assigned area (including Inventory/Quality Assurance, Receiving, Put away, Each Pick/Pack, Bulk Pick/Pack, Shipping) Regular interaction with peers and cross-functional leadership to collaboratively solve problems, drive improvements and efficiencies Accountable for daily work assignments of all regular and temporary labor to meet or exceed customer SLAs while minimizing labor costs Provides leadership and guidance to all staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet increasing customer and business demands Understanding of/experience with 5S/ Lean/ Six Sigma Ensure compliance with AIB standards Understand workload planning to ensure efficient use of labor Enforce safety/housekeeping standards to meet AIB standards Ensures labor is balanced across departments as required to meet each day's business needs, minimize overtime, and reduce labor costs Effectively communicate work task Standard Operating Procedures, convey key information during pre-shift meetings and ensure appropriate shift hand-offs Recommends layout changes to improve velocity, performance and reduces labor costs Operations Supervisor requirements include:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years warehousing and distribution experience 3-5 years Supervisory experience Able to work flexible shifts/hours WMS, specifically Manhattan WM experience, preferred Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Experience with PC, RF guns, and printers About Pet Supplies Plus:
